Need an opinion on which tire size. 285/45/22 or 275/45/22

Hi everyone,

I have been doing some research on here & I have read that a 32" tire is the largest you can go. I have a 2013 Laredo & I just ordered the 22" SRT8 reps. I'm trying to decide if I should go with a 285/45/22 or a 275/45/22. Not really looking for a mud terrain tire just an all season will do & I really like the Toyo's, Hankook and Cooper Zeons. I know the 285 will be an exact 32 but just worried it will rub so I was thinking about the 275 which is a 31.74. Not that much difference but wanted your opinions before I made the purchase this week. I did see the youtube video with the 22' srt8 reps on the 285/45/22 Nittos which looked really nice. Thanks in advance.

285 40 22 is super cool too. My wifes durango has that size and they have good sidewall and an excellent ride

Scott, I'm debating between the 285-40-22 ($209 per) & 285-45-22 ($184 per) Nitto 420s. Such a small difference, I know, but are there pros/cons of each outside of look? Keep in mind, I live in Idaho so we have all 4 seasons.

Thanks!

Looks good. I think I like the look of the 40's better as the 45's seem too close to the wheel well. You running road magnets too? 1.8?

Yes road magnet mids, 1" front, 1.8" rear. It actually sits a bit lower than its shows in the pic

I installed the NT421Q and it's got a better rating from the manufacturer in the not so nice weather than the 420s...mine are stock size, however.
