Hi guys, so I'm in a little bit of a pickle. I just scooped up a pair of WK 20" srt oem wheels, I have a guy trying to sell me a set of 4 toyo proxes ST II for a good price. The problem is the tires size. The tire size is 275/40/20 and 315/35/20. Will these fit a WK2 Laredo? Also, what will be the advantage/ disadvantages be of a tire this wide? I live in the hills of CT where there are lots of winding roads. Please help me in my decision.
20x9 and 20x10. Same tire all around which would be a summer time. I have winter wheels in my shed for the snow. I'm worried that the width and even side wall height may be an issue. I plan to lower the jeep before putting the wheels and tires on. don't want any complications such as rubbing or anything.
The 315/35 is almost 2 inches lower in height than the 295/45. So you will be lowering an additional inch. That is a very short sidewall. Your speedometer will be about 6% off also. 60mph will be 56mph actual or something close.
the 275's will be fine, provided you have 4 of them! If you put 2 different size tyres on you will destroy your transmission if you drive a 4WD. It should be ok if you have a 2WD but still not advisable. As stated above, recheck your speedometer with a GPS to confirm any inaccuracy resultant from using non stock tyres .
