Need Winter Wheels-Inexpensive?

Had "snow tires" mounted a few weeks ago on my stock 18 Inch Limited wheels, did not have time to find any winter wheels. Now have several months to find some and people talk about JK takeoffs in 18 inch will fit? Will 18 inch from 2010,2011,2012,2013 Grand Cherokees also fit? I need 18x? with what bolt pattern? If they don't have TPMs can I do without them or not? See a lot on Craigs List & E-bay but don't know what to buy, hoping for $100.00 a wheel or less but they have to fit my V-6 Limited. Thanks, Dave

WK2 wheels from 2011 through 2013 will fit. I believe the OEM wheels are 18x8s. My winter tires are mounted on Sport Edition F 10 wheels which Tire Rack has for $134.

I dont think wheels from 2010 will work.

^this...

Look on craigslist for take outs, it's your best chance to find oem in good condition for around $100 each, I found 2014 limited 18 wheels with a week of use for $125 each, it's not that hard to find on craigslist since most of the people wants to go bigger from 18" to 20"... Remember to search in bigger cities close to you or within a doable driving distance, it might be worth if you find the right one for the right price

You will need tpms otherwise the shop won't mount the tires, it's the law. You can find them easily on eBay for $50 set of 4, I can look it up where I got mine and they work just fine! Got recommendation from some member here...

Here it is:

http://bit.ly/1diTDPd

It's $60 now but you will find others for $50

No issues if you run without tps. I'm running steel rims with no sensors. It flash a warning for about 20 min but after that you wouldn't know you didn't have sensors unless you went looking in the evic. No tps light or anything. You do now need to manually check you pressure periodically.

Re: Need Winter Wheels-Inexpensive?

This thread on JeepForums should help. They have basically every OEM Jeep wheel that will work for our WK2's:

Jeep WK2/JK 5x5 Wheel Encyclopedia - JeepForum.com

I sourced some 17" JK moabs on Craigslist for $225 for a set of 5, so the deals are out there. Granted, some people fit these with no problem, but for me, they contacted the calipers a bit, so I had to opt for some BORA spacers. All together, still cheaper than a whole new shiny set of aftermarket wheels.

Re: Need Winter Wheels-Inexpensive?

Problem with Craigslist is you have no guarantee the wheels are straight. You might get lucky and you might not. Some times you cant tell if a wheel is straight by just looking at it.

You probably need 18" and you other issue is soon tire dealers will run out of winter tires in your size.

Damage that would cause a wheel to be warped are usually noticeable upon first inspection. That's pretty straightforward, but it is a risk.

And he already has winter tires. Not sure what his other issue is that you're referring to...
