When I got my Jeep back of course all four brand new rims are scuffed up. Dealership is saying something about having someone "repair" them.
I thought these couldn't be repaired....And if they can be repaired - long term will I have issue with peeling/corrosion down the road? I live in the Winter "salt" belt.
Seriously they scuffed brand new rims. Can't believe it. Rims taken off had zero scratches just a few corrosion spots (coating appeared to be too thin, new ones are much thicker looking)
Typical. My SRT had two $1500/ea wheels with GOUGES in them, and they tried to hide it with a convenient blob of tire sealant. They had to replace them.
Yours looks like light scuffing in the clearcoat. That can be repaired to good as new. Even nasty curb rash can generally be repaired to perfection by wheel repair specialists.
I wouldn't get too upset if they do a quality repair. Inspect it closely and make them redo or replace it if it's not perfect. You should not be able to tell it was repaired when they are done, anything less, unacceptable.
