I am looking to replace my brakes with some new pads. I have already decided on the R1 rotors slotted and drilled but I cant figure a pad I want to select. My friends all tell me stoptec but they don't seem to be available for my 2012 altitude. Any suggestions?
I got the Hawks, no noise, low dust, and great performance. I looked up the part number on tirerack.com and got them cheaper from amazon. If you get them, make sure you get the truck version (whatever they call it).
I had the same question about upgrading brakes for my new (usex) 2011 GC. I got it used for a great deal so i could beef up all the parts and tinker with it.
Thanks to those that responded with info on brakes and pads.
Tank, why did you you choose the R1 rotors? What drrw you to them and how did it wprl pit for you.
Also, anyome ever upgraded thw whole system to bigger calipers with more pistons, etc., or even bogger rotors (without going to srt wheels)?
This forum rocks btw and has helped me a lot.
