New Jeep - Aftermarket Wheels/Tires

Hi all, great site this is my first post. I am planning on picking up a 2013 5.7 Laredo X tomorrow and have a question. I would like to get new wheels (20's) and tires right away but am unsure the best way to do that. What would one do with the stock ones? Would a tire shop or someone buy them? Is this something that is best handled at the dealer as they may have better use for the stock stuff? Any advice appreciated.

Greetings and welcome,

I would look at tirerack.com and discountiredirect.com to get some ideas. For tires, it is a matter of application of your driving style. The wheel is a matter of taste. Both of these sites are excellent and ( I know tirerack does) have the ability to view the style of wheels on the JGC.

For selling the tires, the standard outlets: ebay, craiglist and even a used tire shop.

Best for now.

Re: New Jeep - Aftermarket Wheels/Tires

A used tire shop will not give more than $20 per tire, at least around here. Independent tire stores, in general, are the same price for new tires as tirerack etc. if you let them know you are "shopping". You might be able to negotiate a trade in of the old tires for much more (I did) than $20. You might do even better if you got the wheels there too. Let us know what you end up doing. Welcome.

I would try and sell the stock set on eBay or list them on the forum for sale. The dealer will not give you much more than a tire shop would.
