New options for 265/50/20 tire size

I know that tire options are discussed frequently and I was just looking at different sites and noticed there are two new options for the Jeep Grand Cherokee with 265/50/20 tires.

The Cooper Discoverer CTX is being discontinued and will be (has been) replaced by the Cooper Discoverer SRX. According to Cooper, the Discoverer SRX blends innovative technology and advanced engineering to deliver confident all-season performance. The SRX is designed to provide a long tread life, maximize ride comfort and improve tire efficiency for a wide range of CUVs and SUVs. The SRX is M+S rated with a treadwear warranty of 65,000 miles.

According to Yokohama, the Geolander G055 was also just released. The G055 is engineered specifically for today's crossover vehicles. It's loaded with all the latest technology to give you responsive handling in every season and long-lasting performance for the journeys ahead. The G055 is an all-season tire with a treadwear warranty of 65,000 miles.

Nice to see some additional options for the 20" size, to go along with the Michelin Latitude, Nitto 421Q, Continental LX20, etc.

Greetings,

And do not forget Nokian.

Best for now.

If Jeep had just given us 275's as OEM we'd have so many more choices without buying wheels! Oh well, wishful thinking...

Has anyone replaced their OEM Forteras with the Geolander GO55 here? They have a great UTQG rating (740 A A).

I am a former Geolander ATS tire owner on a previous WJ JGC (1999) and I like them.

It's hard to find unbiased reviews of tires. I don't trust reviews on tire sites like Tire Rack.
