If they are on the wheels and inflated, they can be stacked. If they are unmounted or not inflated they should be stored vertically (on the tread)

For that short of a storage term, I wouldn't worry that much. I just use a tarp to keep the sunlight off them and give them a 1/4 spin every so often to keep them from flat spotting.
FWIW, I am storing non-DOT slick race tires. Much more care is needed for these so what I recommend is probably overkill for street tires.
