Re: New tire

Someone on another forum reported that the WRG3s were 1" wider then the stock Fortera HL 265 50 20s and he was worried they would rub in the wheel well ?

Have you experienced any problems like this ?

I can turn lock to lock with no issues. I didn't see an inch difference when we were swapping them out.

Re: New tire

And, what do you recommend for optimal tire pressure ... 36 ?

I have a set on order to replace the OEM Forteras before another Minnesota winter.

Wear measures uniform across them.

Re: New tire

As a directional tire, it should be mounted with the V tread facing forward

Re: New tire

Here is a pic. I would assume they go on this way. Looking at the front of the vehicle, this is what you would see.

Re: New tire

I'm having second thoughts on the Nokian. Any opinions on the Yokohama's Parada Spec-X. Price is a whole lot cheaper.

If you experience winter weather, there's no comparison. I would think the Paradas would be not much better in the winter than the junk Jeep puts on at the factory.

I had a scare last winter and swore I'd get rid of these Fortera POS tires. With snow possible up here at any time now, I pulled the trigger.

Sticking with the OEM size, I was going with either these or the Terra Grapplers (more aggro look), but sensibility won out. I had the TGs on a Dakota. They wore fast and were not that great in the winter (but better then the Forteras).

The WRG3 SUVs go on Friday.
