new wheels with Dk Charcoal Pearl?

I've been rolling with the factory 20" overland wheels for the last couple years and currently have them wrapped with Nitto Grappler AT tires. I like the current setup but want something different for summer use and overall just something different while keeping everything stock. I am also traveling a lot more and would prefer to have more of a hwy tire.

I am having a tough time deciding on which wheel finish to go with my DK Charocal Pearl (very close to 2014 Granite.) I am considering the following wheels. Again, just looking for a new look while keeping it simple. I have considered the blacked out look but feel the DCPearl tends to pop better with more of a hyper silver wheel but would like to hear opinions.

SRT Reps in Hyper Silver

2014 Durango RT Hyper Black

11-13 Altitude/durango in Blk Chrome

I am also considering 1st Gen SRT Reps in either matte silver or blk chrome finish.

Hey ajs800,

How would you rate the Tera Grapplers as an all around tire (street and offroad)? I just bought a 2014 Limited in Granite Crystal Metallic and am playing around with rim and tire options like you. I figure I'll keep the crappy looking 18 inch rims that come with the ORII package and use those with some agressive tires if I do much offroading in the future. For now though, looking for something that is pretty good on the street and decent offroad as well. Am thinking the Terra Grapplers or Goodyear Silent Armors.

I have narrowed down my rim choices to the 2012 OE Replica STR8 wheels in either hyper silver or matte black, 2014 Summit wheels powder coated matte black (or maybe another color), or the new ATX AX192 Blade wheels in satin black.

Keep us in the loop on what you decide!

I think they are great for an AT tire, but honestly after 8k miles, the ride does suffer some (IMO) and I now do too much hwy driving to keep them year round. They are pretty quiet for the most part but there is increased road noise at certain speeds compared to the stock GY. The flip side is they do tend to absorb some of the blows when hitting pothole riddled michigan roads. I know many say they ride great and are an improvement over the stock tires, but I don't tend to agree. It very well could be the combo of the QL and 20 wheels as the few negative review on here are from folks with QL 20" wheels. If I pick up a set of 18" wheels (for winter), I may get another set of grapplers.

I may keep the grapplers for the winter months or list them for sale...depends on which new setup I go with.

I recently picked up a set of new take offs from a '14 durango RT. Not sure if I'm going to keep them or go back to the orig overland wheels. I tend to favor the overland wheels. Here is a pic for any that are interested as I know some were considering giving the durango wheels a try a while back.

I don't know yet my plans with the wheels. They look sharp but not so sure they flow well with the Dk Charcoal pearl color. I think they would look great on a lighter color...silver, white, etc given they are a hyper black. They have a hyper silver look in some lighting but typically have more of a gunmetal look. IMO, they would look much better with my setup if I did away with all of the chrome trip being that I have a darker color.

I may list them for sale if I decide to go back to the orig overland wheels.
