I have a mechanical background and poked around and from what i have read from forums that I can hear my compressor run then kicks out due to being hot which it says on the dash. I asked about a software update i saw but the dealer said that they could not update it because there was no signal from the module. Which doesnt make sense to me because the the pump still runs when you hit the button and they light up. Any insight would be great
Greetings and welcome,
Are you the original owner of this GC?
If it is still under warranty, then module should be covered. If not, then this is a case for a second opinion and that requires you to try another dealer.
Depending on your build date, their where various glitches in the Quad-Lift, however it was not a wide spread of a problem. I remember both MB and LandRover had early problems with theirs.
Obviously, when you engage the QL, the module is sending data to the pump to release the nitrogen from the storage tank. It is very possible the bi-directional data signals are not making its way to the values at the 4 points at the suspension. That means no nitrogen is getting into the lift/lowering mechanism and then the pump automatically times out from the consist running. Did they confirm that?
Best for now.
