Nitto 255/60/18 vs BFG 265/65/18

Ok well It has been a mission but I am getting closer to finding my offroad set.

I am looking at the XD Monster Rims with +35 Offset

I have the following choices in tires:

1. The Nitto Terra Grappler 255/60/18 which seem a bit more aggressive, but a bit smaller from the 265 stock.

2. The BFG's AT's which I am confirming will fit ok with the +35 offset.

I would have preferred MT but I just cannot find anything.

I have a v6 limited with QL and have the stock 265/50/20 tires and rims for normal road use.

Any of your views would be appreciated.

I would go with the BFGs. They will more than likely fit.
IMO downsizing the already small tires on the GC will look silly in the wheel wells.

Post some pics of the wheels and of course the whole setup when you get it on.

The Nitto's are available in like 11ty million sizes. http://www.nittotire.com/functions/t...=terragrappler

They have a 265-70-18 that looks like it will work.

Also 285/60/18. About 31.5" tall would fit nicely and have a beefier footprint.
Some idea of what that looks like here on an isuzu vehicross http://www.vehicross.info/forums/showthread.php?t=15461

Definitely worth a look, thanks for the link, I will try a few more jeep specialists next week to see if I can find a 17" rim, most of them are too small for the break calipers...

Will have a look, going to a jeep specialist on weds for them to fit some aftermarket rims and tires starting from 17" to see if any will clear the calipers.
