Re: Nokian Tires opinions

A concern I have is what if you tear one up on the road? I have checked with both local and ( Discount tire) National distributors and they are rare as hens teeth in stock anywhere? Discount only showed a total of 10 in stock nationally at 2 stores (20" Rim Size) and no where near me. They told me plan on 2 weeks to get if you want them installed......

A tire replacement warranty isn't worth much if you can't get them when you need them!

Nov. 2014 I picked up my new Overland and drove directly to my tire dealer. A day and a half later I was driving on my new 20" WR G3 SUV's and I do not live in a large metropolitan area. For what it's worth...

I agree, 100%

I put the WGR SUVs on my '15 GC Limited, a week after I bought it. My primary usage of this vehicle will be winter driving, around my home area, hence the desire for a "winter biased" tire. Ironically, however, about 6 weeks after I put the Nokians on, I took a 700 mile road trip, back to NJ, to visit the relatives. Fortunately, I had no tire issues.....

Re: Nokian Tires opinions

How do you like them otherwise? Other than hard to get, they seem to get rave reviews everywhere I look for year round tires, with an accent on winter performance......

Re: Nokian Tires opinions

My real evaluation will come all too soon, when the snow hits in a few weeks. At this point, I've driven my GC about 2600 miles on the Nokians, and they've been OK. The only complaints are A) they're a little noisy, and B) when I was on a section of the NY State Thruway, that was "grooved" for rain drainage, they were a little "sketchy", at 70 MPH....
