Re: Nokian WR G3 SUV

What do you mean by "wider"? Tread width or top to bottom tire diameter or something else? If you mean diameter, then I would suggest that placing an unmounted/uninflated tire next to one that is mounted on a wheel and under vehicle load would not be a proper comparison.

Not diameter. I mean Wide tread, more on the pavement...

Its all about where you want to place your priorities. No tire does everything perfect you just have to pick the ones that are best for your type of usage.
Which Michelins do you have? I have been using the LTX M/S and then M/S2 for years on my '02 selec-trac Liberty and they have been excellent all year long.

I would love to have the LTX M/S2 but they dont make it in 265/50R20. I have the Latitude Tour HP which is the only michelin they make in that size. Its a nice smooth and quiet highway cruiser which is what i wanted. I would have gone with the Nokian WR G3 SUV if i was in an area with more snow to contend with or the Terra Grappler for more off road use. just have to buy according to how you are going to use it

Re: Nokian WR G3 SUV

What are you running for tire pressure? I'm using 36 lbs and they look soft.

I have the nokians on my suburu, and they are great in the winter. however they are firm, and not quiet for the other seasons.

Re: Nokian WR G3 SUV

I recently got a set. They don't rub and the increase in noise on dry pavement is negligible.
