I am looking for something as quiet and has longer tread life than my Forteras and probably better in the long winters we have here. Maybe the Contis.
One to take a look at also is the Michelin Defender LTX M/S which is the latest iteration of the LTX M/S2. It is just came out in august 2015 and is now available in the stock 265/50R20. Its a great all around tire does a little bit of everything, good on road maners, ok on snow and ok for mild to mid off road. These will be my next tires now thatyhey are finally in stock 20s size.

Re: Nokian WR G3 SUV // Rotiiva's

I tried out my Nokian Rotiiva's in 8 to 18 inch snow this afternoon. WITH a bit of hill climbing along with that snow. I am well pleased with the results. The Rotiiva's do exceptionally well on snow-pack and icy roads getting out to the farmstead.

I found for this activity, the Mud setting at OR1 work well when I locked in a specific gear for climbing the hills. Using the snow setting, I had to back up a bit and try a second time in "Mud" OR1 and 1st gear - then climbed like a champ!

Re: Nokian WR G3 SUV

Just had the Nokian WRG3's (265/50R20)installed today to replace the Fortera's. Initial impression is they ride very nice, almost a softer ride than the Fortera's. Noticed a slight increase in road noise. We had some snow (2-3") last night so roads were wet and slick on way home from install. Jeep seems to sit a bit higher now but that could just be me. Jeep is a daily driver and I commute about 100 miles round trip daily. I'll keep you posted on updates and fuel mileage. Like majority of everyone else, I wasn't happy with the Fortera's after one winter so it was time to change. Read just about every thread here and the information educated me greatly. Happy to say I'm confident in the decision I made and look forward to the updates. Dark pictures below. I'll get some better tomorrow.Attachment 83425

Re: Nokian WR G3 SUV

Here are some better pics...and they're even the correct orientation! So far so good with the tires. Nice and smooth on my 50 mile highway commute this morning in below freezing temps.
