OEM Replacement Rotors/pads for 2011 Overlander 5.7L

Does anyone knoe the size for the front and rear rotors for 2011 Grand Cherokoee Overland with 5.7 L ? I think the hemi models had larger front rotors then the 6 cylinder?

Any reccomendations on quality OEM replacements? The Dealer quouted big money for parts only. Mine are warped with 80kmi.

Thank You!

Tow package may have been required for heavy duty brakes on the 5.7 (I think). Verify what you have. The build sheet in this link will tell you exactly which brakes came with yours. https://jeep.custhelp.com/app/jeep/e...WGxOMmc2T2w%3D

Easy way to check is look at the rear rotor HD package the Rear rotor will have Vents.. Non HD rear brake will be solid no vents.

There are the three sales codes describing the brakes for the 2011-2013 WK2

- BRY - Standard Anti-Lock Brakes (Front-vented, rear-solid, for 17") 330mm vented rotors front and 330mm solid rear
- BR6 - Heavy Duty Anti-Lock Brakes (Front-vented, rear-vented, for 18") 350mm vented rotors front and 330mm vented rear
- BR1 - European Anti-Lock Brakes (Front-vented, rear-vented, for 18") 350mm vented rotors front and 330mm vented rear

The basic differences is the standard front rotor is 13 inches in diameter and the rear rotor is not vented and ~1/2 inch thick. The HD front rotor is near 14 inches in diameter, the rear is the same diameter as standard but is 1 1/4 inch thick vented. Both rotors fit the rear axle and caliper. Putting a 14 inch front rotor into a 13 inch hole may be an issue, however. Most aftermarket suppliers don't have good fitment data, so if you have HD brakes, make sure you get 14 in front rotors and vented rears. If you have standard, get the 13 inch fronts and solid rears

They are most likely not warped. Highly unlikely actually.
If you want to replace them, EBC makes a good set for around 400$ for the front end.

I actually got the EBC set installed recently. Can't complain, felt a lot better than stock. Yours are a different size but this is what I went with:

EBC® USR7555 - USR Series Sport Slotted Front Rotors
EBC® USR7557 - USR Series Sport Slotted Rear Rotors
EBC® DP61871 - Greenstuff 6000 Series Truck and SUV Front Brake Pads
EBC® DP61872 - Greenstuff 6000 Series Truck and SUV Rear Brake Pads

What pushed you in the way of the 6000 instead of the 7000 up front?
Also, if you don't mind me asking, what did you pay in total?
I am thinking of doing mine over the winter. I resurfaced the stock pads and rotors in the spring and it helped but they are back to feeling like the bite has dropped off again. Pads can only take so much heat cycling before they lose their effectiveness.

Apparently I had a lot of life on my stock rotors and pads since they were changed back in 2014 and the pads looked brand new when I took em off but they felt a bit uneven and under-powered when braking.

You might as well go with the stainless steel brake lines too shouldn't cost that much and re-bleed the system if your gonna go all out.
You're right, for such little price difference I should've gotten the 7000 for the front. It was a little under $800 with the tax and shipping for everything. Just go on carid.com and price it out. I don't think anyone keeps them in stock apparently they all ship out of EBC from Nevada no matter who you order from.

Oh and the black coating on the rotors just dissipates immediately so it's not even worth advertising it as such.

Re: OEM Replacement Rotors/pads for 2011 Overlander 5.7L

That's not a bad price. I think I was looking at about $450 for the front some time back. So the black coating has come off even where the pads don't rub? Like the hats and edges? That's weird. Guess a wire wheel and Rustoleum will take care of that (masking off the friction portions of course). I usually do that anyway if they aren't painted. Helps keep the wheels from sticking to them. My wife's car is hub centric and was a b@@ch to remove a wheel till I painted the hats.
