no with tax and shipping they are $770 at tire rack for 4 then you have to find some where to put them on and probably pay another $100 for mounting balancing and whatever so they are more expensive that way.

Re: OEM tires are horrible in Snow.

My local tire shop that I have been dealing with for over 20 years in Silver Spring, MD has always beaten Tire Rack's, Costco's or anyone's price on tires and wheels. Thats my out the door price mounted and balanced with free rotation including MD's sales tax and disposal fees and not just by $10 or $20 bucks usually its around $50.

Owner used to race World Challenge and Continental Tire series so if he thought nitrogen fills were a bennie he would offer them. They are the largest single location tire store in the country.

They are one of the few shops in the country that can also balance tires on your vehicle.

Re: OEM tires are horrible in Snow.

Here's something you might want to check out! I bought a set of 265/60R18 Michelin X-Ice snow tires today from Tire Rack. Had them mounted on dedicated 18" wheels with Tire Pressure Sensors for my Summit so I could just swap them in November and back again in March. All's good you say? Wrong!

Just got a call from the good folks at Tire Rack and these tires are illegal for my Summit. In Pennsylvania if the tires you have on the car are smaller than what is on the door placard (20") the car will fail inspection. Depending upon when your annual inspection falls this might not be a problem but here's yet another case of legislators feeling the need to insert themselves into every detail of your daily life. Unbelievable.

Not meant to be a political rant, just a heads up to check your local laws.

Re: OEM tires are horrible in Snow.

We have annual inspections here in Va and I am not sure if it is issue here.

In PA you should only have to worry about it if your inspection is do in Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb, and Mar. See if they sell the sticker for the tires for the Laredo X or Limited and install it over the original

But if you live in PA or a similar state and your inspection comes do its a royal PITA. Maybe they will let you slide because a Limited or Laredo uses that tire size but do you want to flunk? Not sure what the laws are in PA but in VA if you flunk the state inspection you arent supposed to drive the car until you have it repaired and reinspected. You have 14 days. Now you have to drive home put the 20" wheels and tires on come back for the reinspection and wait in line again. Pay the reinspection fee if any and then go home and throw the snows back on.

Not sure how strictly PA enforces driving around with and expired inspection sticker but the fine with costs is over a $100 and they can ticket you again after 24hrs.

VA back in the mid 70's used to have safety inspections twice a year.
