Greetings,

It was your fellow Vermonter's up in the northern part first introduced me to Nokian. I know it is easy to get the tires in your area. Good luck with your next addition to your Jeep family.

Best for now.

Re: Off-Road Adventure II Package Tires

Hi All...

I am trying to get a swap from Chrysler on my new jeep GC overland, which is currently in the Final Inspection Stage on VOTS. According to Chrysler customer care (800-247-9753 who transfered me to 877-426-5337), they can't help me yet as they can't see the options ordered in their system until its been shipped, at least that what I was told by 2 reps so far calling on two different days. How is it that an order is in place and being built but their "system" can't show them the option packages chosen?!?

So I am waiting for it to move to the Shipping phase in hopes by then it will show up in their system to argue the issue of tires.

In looking at the Silent Armors from Goodyear's site, I don't see them coming in a 265/60/18 size. For those who have moved to this tire, what size are you guys using on the stock 18" rim from the ORAII package?

Thanks in advance...

Off-Road Adventure II Package Tires

I'll go with Bridgestone Dueler Revo AT2 tires this fall. They are good in the wet and light snow. I tried a bunch of things on our rigs over the years and have been very happy with the Revo AT and now Revo AT2.

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....r+A%2FT+Revo+2

I'm pretty sure our old WJ/QD is wearing Revo ATs in my avatar.

They are avail in the stock ORA2 size as well as bigger if you want to go that route. My main quandary is trying to decide to go stock sized or larger.

Are you sure about that?

Doesn't appear to be discontinued on the Goodyear site.

They are still being sold in some places, but they are discontinued. The AT Adventure's are their replacement, hence the similar design.

Upon closer examination, I think those were Pirelli Scorpion AT (not ATR) tires which was what she was wearing prior to the Revo AT. I was pretty happy with the Scorpions as well. They were nice and grippy, although perhaps not quite as good as the Revos and wore a bit faster.

Re: Off-Road Adventure II Package Tires

Well since the Jeep hasn't arrived yet to the dealer (still in Final Inspection stage for like 3 weeks for what they say is due to more vehicles than the railcars can carry), the Chrysler Rep can't determine which model Michelin tire will be on the vehicle, so they are closing the case. They want me to reopen the case when it does arrive and IF in fact it does not have on road \ off road tires. Its hard to believe they don't know what MODEL tire is shipping with that package. Bunch of BS. They only have in the notes of the system \ ordered specs that its a Michelin brand, BSWAS tire. Which we know is for Black Side Wall All Season. The rep tried to pass that off as the MODEL and I argued that it is not and after some more waiting on hold she agreed and then said we have to wait for delivery to see what actually comes shipped with the vehicle. Ridiculous if you ask me.

They know that they are Lattitudes...it's the standard tire for that package.

Yea we know it, they know it, but how do I get them to admit they know it lol... if that makes any sense at all.

I just called them back again and insisted they try to resolve this before delivery so it can be hopefully swapped out at delivery. However I have a feeling I am going to get a call back from the same rep that told me I have to wait for delivery to know what model tires are coming on the order, so the call is probably useless.

Greetings,

Back in Feb of 2011 when I picked up my JGC, I started to complain to Jeep the following month regarding the Michelin Latitudes. After a some weeks after continuing to speak with Jeep, I got a few free oil changes as compensation. They are going to tell you it is a dealer issue. However, I did take the issue up with Michelin afterwards and I was able to get a serious discount to change over to the new BFG Rugged Terrain T/A. I do not think today Michelin has this program.

You going to find on this forum many different opinions regarding the Latitudes. My major problem out of many issues which I stated to both Jeep and Michelin was the traction in the winter and and hydroplaning in wind driven rain. I have many of true on/off road all terrain tires and this one was the worst in those areas.

Today, I am riding on Nokian Rotiva AT tires after getting rid of the BFG. They were a nice tire, but I had problems with snow and they were noisy. It could be it was the first production batch.

Good luck with JGC. I am very happy with mine and I am glad I dumped the Nissan Pathfinder back then.

Best for now.
