Indeed I did. I was fortunate to get full credit for the takeoffs (as detailed earlier.)

I am totally satisfied with the on-road handling of the LTX A/T2 tires. There is, of course, a small increase in road noise over the Latitudes as you would expect.

It will be a few months before I have a chance to do anything seriously off-road ... but I'm sure the tires will be fine.

An unexpected bonus that is purely subjective is that the LTX A/T2's just "look right" with the Rugged Brown Jeep. See for yourself at:

The LTX A/T2's get my vote.

I'll bet there will be plenty of Brand/Model choices when the Latitudes wear out. I'm not a Michelin fan.

I'm trying to stick with the BFG All-Terrain KO in 265/65R-18, but will use the LTX A/T2's as a back up. The dealer parts guy says the BFGs will fit.

I've used the BFGs since day one on my ZJ and am completely happy with them, on and off road.

Re: Off-Road Adventure II Package Tires

Those pics of Netcoolery's Summit with the LTX A/T2's just don't do them justice. They look much better in person. Plus, they are about 1" wider than the Latitude Tours that come with the Off Road 2 pkg.

Re: Off-Road Adventure II Package Tires

I am new 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee owner, just picked the truck up this tuesday 4/19/11. I was also suprised and disappointed with the tires that it came with. Clearly the window sticker states On/Off Road Tires.
I called Chrysler up and filed a complaint. A few hours later some guy calls back and I explained that these were touring tires that are on the vehicle. He said that does not sound right. I told him for a truck that is Trail Rated and states on/off road tires that these are touring. He said my Rep would call me the next day. So far no call back, but it was good friday. I will give them to monday and than call them again.
I spoke with my dealer who said thats not right and Chrysler should send me out new tires.
The funny thing is yesterday at work a co worker went up to look at the new truck and the first thing he noticed and said was " Hey why did they put street tires on this thing"
If anyone has any luck please post on here, I am wondering if Chrysler will do the right thing or not.

Well, after some initial positive feedback from the dealer that they were going to either give me a $$ credit or swap the tires for some Destination A/Ts, we seem to be back in the "my rep says the vehicle was engineered for that tire, and an A/T tire will cost you 1-2mpg and cause more road noise" mode of stalling and inaction.

I hadn't mentioned anything here as I didn't want to be premature in reporting success. Looks like I was right to be cautious. I just recommend that we all keep beating on them. One possibility occurred to me based on the above comment... I wonder if there is some CAFE implication to Chrysler of even a small drop in the fuel economy numbers for the Hemi?

Anyway, at present we are going to talk to Michelin and see if they will document that the Latitude Tour warranty would be voided by off road use. I'll post anything I learn.

Re: Off-Road Adventure II Package Tires

Another thought: member Plasticar has posted update instructions for the 430N RHB radio which did not have the software to support Sirius Travel Link.

http://www.jeepgarage.org/attachment...9&d=1303467173

The interesting thing when reading the last page is that there seems to be a real concern on Chrysler's part that the vehicles as delivered did not conform to what the Monroney sticker (window sticker) said. (Title of page is: ""Customer Satisfaction Notification K40 Monroney Label Information").

I think the same could be said about this tire issue...

Thanks for the reply, I will keep digging at them. This is wrong and misleading.

Re: Off-Road Adventure II Package Tires

I called Chrysler today and was told the reason they have not called me back was they are waiting to hear from the service manager at my dealership and that my rep is working on my case what ever that means.
I had friends of mine look at the tires and say these are definitley not on/off road tires that they are all season basic tires. My main concern is with winter driving in the snow. They do not look like they will get you through 4-8 inches of snow thats for sure the treads are just not there to handle anything other than dry street driving.

Re: Off-Road Adventure II Package Tires

The latitudes are dirt cheap for a Michelin tire also, look at what tire rack sells em for.

Re: Off-Road Adventure II Package Tires

I'm in the same boat as many of you. I called and have an ongoing case with Chrysler regarding the Latitude Tour tires included in the ORA II package.

Initially, Chrysler called the sales manager at my dealership. He told the Chrysler case manager that the Latitude Tour tires are On/Off-Road tires. My case manager became ill two weeks ago, and I finally got in contact with my new case manager.

Had to start from scratch. Both case managers appear to be sympathetic to my cause, but so far, no real action. I didn't understand why they wanted to contact the dealership, since I consider this a Chrysler created problem, not a dealership problem.

As I now understand it, they are calling my dealership to offer some kind of "deal" (cash?) to the dealer, to assist in swapping the tires. Of course, when the dealership sales manager stated that the tires are On/Off-Road, that didn't help my case.

I coincidentally have an on-going Quadra-Lift issue and I was talking to the service manager and mentioned the tire situation. He seemed to agree with my stance on the tire issue and said to have the case manager call him. He said if Chrysler customer service offers him some assistance, he can and will swap my tires for a "smoking" deal.

Bottom line is I wish I had known to ask the case manager to contact the service manager first, not the sales manager. Perhaps this will get resolved in an acceptable manner. I'll post an update if I have useful information.
