Off Road Tires 275 55 20

Hey guys, I've been researching off road tires for my stock 20's and was wondering if anybody had actual experience with this size and what they like.
I've been leaning towards some Wrangler Duratracs but thats mostly for road noise purposes. I like the look of some BFG's and the Nitto's

You are fine with that size.

Re: Off Road Tires 275 55 20

Got the nittos. Look pretty nice. Virtually no road noise new.
No rubbing that i've seen yet. I did raise the front up to level it out. About an 1" or 1-1/2"

Re: Off Road Tires 275 55 20

One thing to keep in mind with Light Truck All Terrain tires is many of them require higher psi to wear properly than a passenger tire which is not good for your ride. BFG recommends the Ko2s in this size on this vehicle be run at 47psi! and not lower than 37psi for road use. I think most people run them around 36 psi however and I have not heard of reports of uneven tire wear. I did a chalk test today at 29psi and it wore off evenly. If anything more in the center of the tire. I now have mine at 34psi and ride is great. I will measure my tread regularly and monitor for uneven tread wear but from the resaults of the chalk test I think you could get away with 32-33 psi no problem and still have a fantastic ride. I've tried running them at 47psi and they are like rocks. vehicle and suspension take a beating when hitting potholes and the ride isn't too great. Can't say much about other All Terrains.

I love those headlights. Your jeep looks like a transformer or something. Are those lights available or were they custom? are they HID and were your lights HID before the install?

Re: Off Road Tires 275 55 20

I'm new to this forum, and I'm sure this has been asked a million times, but
I have a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 4x2. Everything stock (265/50/20).
I'd like to upgrade the tires to the new BF Goodrich KO2 all terrain in 275/55/20.
Is this possible without any rubbing issues? Thanks!
