I have had good traction with Toyo Proxes S/Ts in the snow, they're also a performance tire.

Not that my post really counts for anything but I live in a state with actual winters and I can say that I Nitto 420's on my FX35 and they were crap in the winter. The tires were too aggressive to channel snow/slush away which induced floating and overall fairly poor traction. If I lived in a state that got very little snow and/or the snow cleared quickly I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Re: Official 20" Tires Thread

I live in Northern Michigan and need a good all season tire to replace the stock Goodyear. I saw the Yokohama Parada Spec X and AVID Envigor get good reviews. It doesn't look like it would do all that well on snow though. Any one have any thoughts on these two tires.

I tried the spec-x on my overland and hated them. So much so that I had them removed and replaced with the Michelin's the next day.

The tires have a very soft sidewall and a tremendous amount of tread squirm. I would not recommend them.

they are an all season tire as in on/off road with more onroad oriented of the two, definitely not a performance tire though.

if looking at those types of tires there's the new Cooper Discoverer AT3 that's even better, but not sure if they have our size yet.

Re: Official 20" Tires Thread

Realisticlly i want a good Offroad Tire thats also good onroad. I Rely on my Jeep During the Winter for my family and During the Summer i want to hit the trails and go camping.
