Ordered my setup

Well after all the help from you guys and Black ops auto, I ordered the road magnet 1.8"f/1.8"r drop setup to pair with the 20" srt replica's that I ordered as well. Hopefully I get it all by Friday as I am going to install at my buddies shop on Saturday.

Re: Ordered my setup

Here are the pictures with the SRT Replica's. We had an issue with the Road Magnet springs in which they sent me 2 sets of rear springs. I immediately called Chad from Black Ops and he directed me to Road Magnet Rep who stated they are going to send me a new set this week. I am speaking with them as the shop still charged for lift time to disassemble, time to trouble shoot error and reassemble the front suspension. I have asked for reimbursement as it was not my error.

Re: Ordered my setup

Looking good... I see that you de-chromed the window trim. Is is a Laredo on stock suspension?

Please post details about your wheel(offset and width)and tires specs. This is important for the lurkers(like me) to decide what setup suits them.

I plastidip the window trim and all the other chrome trim on the car. It is a limited on stock suspension.

Re: Ordered my setup

I installed springs on Saturday. Rides and Handles much better. Rear lowered much more and front little higher than expected but they need to settle a bit more in front.

Re: Ordered my setup

That's really cool. Do you need a camber kit or anything to have it properly aligned?

I'm afraid of dropping my Laredo that much. Is this the correct order of spring drop?

That is correct order with exception that road magnet has 2 different drop setups. I am most definitely going to need a camber kit for the rear. The front fell into spec no problem. The only thing as far as alignment that is out of spec is the rear camber.

Re: Ordered my setup

If you have the 1.8" drop in the rear you do not need rear control arms.

The rear camber numbers should be right on the edge but the extra camber will make your grand Cherokee handle much better and your tire wear will be fine

Re: Ordered my setup

I ordered the 1.8/1.8 but by looks and measurements I think they sent me the extreme set. I have a call into road magnet to ask them.

I have 1.8" rears as well, yours looks exactly like mine, this is not the extreme but the mid.

However your front look like the mid drop as well which is 1", if yours was 1.8" in the front it would be a bit lower

Oh ok. The front had settled quite a bit in the last few days. Looks a lot more level now. Ill post more pics at end of week to see if settles anymore. This pic was 20 min after front install.
