Ordered Power Slot Rotors

After looking at my wheels and seeing the stock rotors in the background. I was not happy with the look especially the battleship grey color of the center of the rotors. Was thinking of having them powdercoated but that would probably be at least 200.00 - 250.00 So I figured for that price why not just get some new rotors. Looked at a few different brands but liked the look of the Power Slots the best as they are drilled and slotted. Also most importantly they are Zinc plated so no rust. Prices vary a lot on these especially the shipping charges. Was able to get the best price on good old Amazon. 227.00 for all 4 rotors with free shipping. Should brighten up the wheelwell a little and maybe a little better brake performance. I'am only getting the rotors my pads only have 1000 miles on them so they will be fine to reuse. I will post the part#s here for anyone interested.Front Rotors pair- AR83076XPR. 119.54
Rear Rotors Pair- AR83075XPR 108.25

Re: Ordered Power Slot Rotors

I recently ordered slotted and drilled rotors for my pickup (2010 Ford Adrenalin) - for the same reason. The old brakes were good with no problems, but I wanted the cosmetics the rotors provided.

Re: Ordered Power Slot Rotors

I would stay away from Drilled. They crack. Slotted work great and look better. Stoptech makes a nice rotor.

Re: Ordered Power Slot Rotors

I have had drilled rotors on many of my vehicles never had a problem. The problem with drilled rotors cracking stems from some manufacturers using inferior materials and putting way to many holes in the rotor. Using premium branded drilled rotors on a street driven vehicle should never have a problem with cracking. Unless you subject them to a severe temperature shock. I have researched PowerStop rotors and have yet to come up with any negative information regarding cracked rotors.

Re: Ordered Power Slot Rotors

I put drilled/slotted PowerStops on my Yukon and loved them. I'll do the same with my GC when it needs them.

Re: Ordered Power Slot Rotors

Is there any argument for not using drilled rotors on a vehicle that's used offroad?
