Overland quadralift test fit.

So I had a 2014 limited that I was planning on lifting with eibach kit and put on 275/65-18 duratracs on fuel beast wheels. Wheels with +1 offset. Decided last month to get a v8 overland. So now next week I am taking a wheel to discount tire to have them put on a stock size tire on wheel to see if can clear. Last resort before having to sell wheels and tires.

Re: Overland quadralift test fit.

Tire diameter is what counts. OEM size is 30.6" in diameter. Max that most folks agree on is 32" diameter. (Note that anything other than the OEM diameter will affect the accuracy of the speedo and odo...)

Re: Overland quadralift test fit.

I am not concerned with tire diameter cause I am looking to take off the bigger 275/65-18 and put on stock size tire.

Re: Overland quadralift test fit.

Then as long as the wheel width is within the range that the tire you choose supports, you should be fine.

Overland quadralift test fit.

It's going to look ridiculous with +1 offset if the wheels are 8 inches or wider. how wide are the wheels? Don't even waste your time.

Why you think it would look ridiculous? Yes it's a 9 inch wide wheel.

Because the factory offset on 8inch wide wheels is +56. Factor in a wider wheel which pushes it out further and lower the offset to +1. It's going to look absolutely terrible with a stock diameter/width tire.

Outside of the rim/tire will be an extra 68mm outward of the stock position taking into account a 9inch wide rim with a +1 offset...
That's the equivalent of running 2.7 inch spacers on stock wheels. Anything over 1.25" in my eyes (1.5" spacers being my max I would ever recommend for the wk2) looks ridiculous.

But yet it looks fine lifted with 275/65-18. I think I will make the decision myself.

I'm talking about offset you're talking about height.. They are gonna look like shit mark my words. You decide for yourself. But obviously you don't have much experience with wheel/tire setups. No one in their right minds would ever think to run what you are proposing with stock size tires.

Re: Overland quadralift test fit.

I am talking about offset. I've seen plenty of jeeps on here with 0 offset wheels. I know plenty about offset. Ever seen a 2010 camaro with a squared setup. 19x10. I've ran that setup before Chevy decided to do it to there z/28. But you'd probably say why the hell would you do that. But I am not here to get into a pissing match with you.

You're showing someone running tires much larger than stock and what's the width of the wheel he's running? Also, there is no way he isn't rubbing with that setup. Do you have a link to his thread with info?
