Overland vs SRT suspension, which is better?

Which is better? I want my Overland handling to be better, especially in corners, fast turning on highway and the like. 2013 JGC Overland. If the SRT package is better I might ask the dealer to change them out, I don't think it will be cheap but I haven't asked yet.

Re: Overland vs SRT suspension, which is better?

Overland suspension is "more versatile" and that brings some compromises. SRT is optimized for rocking the street...and you pay dearly for that. Big time... And as jacko' mentions...have a change of underwear with you for after that conversation with your dealer!

Re: Overland vs SRT suspension, which is better?

Get a set of SRT springs and the sway bars, it'll help. If you have quadra-lift, you're screwed.

Too many mods to list for each, so let's just say a lot was done over the years.

ekaz,

What do you mean Im screwed - can't change them? Doing springs and sway bars sounds doable, but no?

Re: Overland vs SRT suspension, which is better?

The Overland 4x4 has the QuadraLift air suspension...there's limited moding you can do to QL. Nothing to the front. You may be able to do shocks and the sway bar in the back...I forget, but there have been threads about this in the past.

it's way more than spring and sway bars young grass hopper.

your air suspension is the Coils and Springs.

You won't be able to change the Shocks to SRT shocks unless you got like $2500 and I doubt you can switch the computers for them to control the shock stiffness.

Jeep Grand Cherokee WK2 - SRT8 Active Damping Suspension

Jeep Grand Cherokee WK2 - Quadra-Lift Air Suspension system

Should of bought a SRT.

Sway bars may help you but will more than likely do very little for you.
