Painted vs Polished - Durability?

Looking to buy Jeep GC #4 soon.

My primary gripe with last 2 (2000 & 2004) was the failure of the painted finish on the wheels. Problem started with the delamination of the clearcoat, then paint fails, leaving black splotches impossible to clean/buff out.

Is the polished finish any more durable? I am also, not fully sold yet on the look of polished wheels.

So, for 2011, I am on the fence - Painted or Polished? Looking at limited now.

Thoughts/recommendations??

buy the jeep and if you dont like the wheels, buy aftermarket wheels that you do like

Re: Painted vs Polished - Durability?

I've had both.. I would go PAINTED.. for a few reasons.. one you can always touch it up..the polished clear coat is wicked thin.. and I had brand new polished.. get damaged from salt.. and I literally wipe em down with warm soapy water after driving.. (yes.. I'm that nuts)
