Pentastar v6 gas happy

Recently getting better mpg on my Laredo, I guess engine braking period is over (7k miles)? Currently getting 19.9 mpg in city cycle on 87 octane. And that is much better than even my G37 mpg (17 for city max) always driven with 93 octane and not loaded. Anyone noticed same?

Re: Pentastar v6 gas happy

I have about 2500 miles on my V6 and get about 19 in the city. I am very happy with the gas mileage after switching from my Ford F150 that got 10mph at best. Now when I tow with my GC I get about 10mpg towing a 18ft boat, plenty of power though.

I have about 2000 miles on my X V6 and am averaging 20 to 21 mpg, but it is mostly highway driving here in Montana....

Re: Pentastar v6 gas happy

I am still on my first tank of gas and getting 17.9 mpg which I am very happy with. Most people get better fuel economy over 7500 miles.

Re: Pentastar v6 gas happy

Just turned 10,000 miles on my Laredo and haven't seen any significant increases in mpg. Overall average for those 10,000 miles is 18.8 MPG

Re: Pentastar v6 gas happy

I'm likewise happy. Just got back from a Michigan to Iowa and back trip. 22.5 going out. But 24.5 coming back. Speed was a little slower coming back due to construction but also a lot of stop and go. The mileage gauge seems to be very accurate at this time. Just at 4000 miles. The first several road trips were just 19-20 so a definite "break-in" effect.
