Powder Coat or Paint OEM Black Chrome Spider Monkeys

Hey Guys,

Talked to a few local body shops about my OEM Spider Monkeys in black chrome.. Some people are telling me if they paint the wheels gloss black, it won't stick as well because of the Chrome finish. Some places are telling me it will be okay. Would love to know if anyone has been in the same dilemma and what did they choose? Two wheels have some curb rash, which is why I'm going with Gloss Black!

Thanks!

Everything I've had powder coated has always been blasted first. I would call bs on those other places. Shouldn't be a problem to get them done

. I'm paying double. South Florida I guess they charge way more. Got a few quotes, but the place I went with has been in business for over 25 years. Won't be done though till next Wednesday! Do you by chance know if the center caps from the Altitude wheels should go right into the SRT wheels?

I am not certain, but would guess that since it is an OEM wheel they should be the same.

Maybe someone that has a definitive answer for you will jump in here.

Re: Powder Coat or Paint OEM Black Chrome Spider Monkeys

Thanks! Looks really good. Did you say what the tire size is?

I'm really torn. I want to get another set of wheels, but am torn between some Spider Monkey reps & some WK1 reps...

295/45/20. Both wheels will look good man! Go with what you like though, not what others want. Can't go wrong though with either one.
