Powder coated 20" factory wheels

I was having a hard time finding wheels I liked. Really the problem is the offset...almost all aftermarket wheels stick out too far (+35 to +38). The SRT offset is perfect, but not available aftermarket.
I decided to keep the factory 20" wheels and powder coat them semi gloss black. I'm pretty happy with the look although I wish they sat out a bit farther. This is better than the aftermarket though (IMO).

The wheels look great but there are replicas of all Jeep SRT8 wheels.

Looks great, I am debating doing this? What is color of your jeep?

I may Plasti-dip first to see how I like it.

I know. I was back and forth. Honestly, I was looking for a specific set but all they offered it was black chrome. I wanted semi gloss black. I really like the factory wheels though so this was a less expensive option.

Our Jeep in Granite color. A guy I work with plasti-piped his DurNgo wheels. I thought they looked like flat black spray paint. I wanted a higher end finish.

They look great. Wish I went semi gloss.

I've posted these before but here are my summit wheels powder coated gloss black.

Re: Powder coated 20" factory wheels

If you don't mind me asking, how much was it to powder coat all four wheels?

Debating to powder coat my stock overland 20s black or buy srt spider money reps in black. I will be getting BFGoodrich KO2s for either. I would end up selling my overland wheels and tires. Those tires are brand new with full tread.

I got quotes from $350 for the set all the way to $1500. I ended up having them done through the dealer's aftermarket parts dept. I paid $600. But that included dismount, vehicle storage, and remounting/balance. I could have saved but I would have had a lot of leg work to do on my own.

For the cost of powder coating you should just sell all and pick up the reps and wheel combo that you want. It may make you some money that way.....

Re: Powder coated 20" factory wheels

Thanks so much. I got quoted 600 but I'm not sure if they 8ncluded all of that. Plus it was far away and I was sure about what I'd be doing with my jeep.

Appreciate the help.

That's what I was thinking was the best move. I'll spend more up front but will be able to make it back. I know the owner of OK4wd and I can get a good price on the tires. I found the wheels already too. My stock wheels and tires are in great shape as it is.
