First I got a couple of "Service Air Suspension" notifications pop up, but they went away and I thought nothing of it. Then a week later the message came up again once and went away. Then a few days after that "Service Air Suspension Immediately" came up while I was driving down the highway. It too went away. Then when I got home I tried lowering to park height and I got "Please Wait, System Cooling" message. The next day the messages went away, but I noticed it took a longer than usual time lowering and raising it. I took it to my local shop (not dealer) and he plugged it in and got about 8 error codes come up. Basically he said its a bad compressor. New compressor he said was $2500 CAD. He said there was 191 units on backorder with no ETA, which tells me there are a lot of problems out there. I had the same issue with my 2003 Hummer H2. The compressor went and GM wanted $5000 to replace it. I said screw that and went to a local spring shop and had the airbags replaced with coils for $500. Drove great with no issues. I swore to myself I wouldn't buy a vehicle with air suspension again. I guess i didn't follow my own advise. Nevertheless, I will not pay that kind of money to replace the compressor and have the issue come up again. I will take my Jeep to the same spring shop and have them replace the air bags with coils if I have too. This is bullshit.
My husband did this to our jeep and was wondering if you have any problems with your 4 wheel drive and how did you remove the ql system off so the lights will stop coming on? We took it in to a dealership where we live and they said they can't take the system off and that we will not be able to use our 4wd and that we can only drive ours in sport mode.

Re: Quadra Lift Air Suspension Failure

When I bought my Summit I made sure to purchase the Jeep factory life time warranty through Ziegler on line. ( $100.00 deductible) A friend's 4 year old Range Rover suspension crapped out. $11,000.00 repair. My brothers Mercedes ( had extended Warranty) $8,000.00 its insane. Lincoln Navigators can cost you dearly too. The high end Jeeps are sophisticated and are very expensive to repair. I like the Range Rover TD6 however the extended warranty is a must ans its 3X the price of the Jeep.

I did not not replace my air bags with coils on the jeep. My issue was the air suspension control module. I did replace my air bags with coils on my Hummer H2. I unplugged a relay to stop the lights from coming. It did not effect my 4-wheel drive on the Hummer and should not effect it on the Jeep as well. The only thing it wont do is lower or raise the suspension when dialing the different modes.

We bought it used and they didn't tell us anything about a lifetime warranty on it and my husband has already replaced it with regular shocks and coils.

The only other thing they could think of is the compressor might be getting "tired" or "weak".
Anything computer controlled can return strange error codes if the battery voltage is low. If your battery is old, replace it. Check your charging system. Keep in mind that a battery may pass a load test and still not deliver proper voltage. If you drive short trips only, you may have to resort to what I do with my wife's car: charge the battery every Sunday night.

101k miles on my GCO and no problems at all with the Quadra lift, and I'm always making adjustments on the dial.

OK that's what my husband said but the dealership said I can't use 4wd until we put the air suspension back on it and we don't want that so he told me to look into it online and see what we can find out. So thank you for your help.

Then you can't drive the vehicle based on that logic...current generation JGC is 4WD all the time...unless you have a 2WD Jeep. And, of course, that can never be 4WD.

Re: Quadra Lift Air Suspension Failure

My quadralift failed today, wouldn't go up or down. Drove straight to the dealer so they could see the problem, 5 minutes later all fixed. Blown Fuse.

Re: Quadra Lift Air Suspension Failure

I have had nothing but problems with my air suspension and I want out!

I bought my JC Overland a year ago, used from the dealership and luckily purchased the extended warranty but here is the issues we have had....and every single time has been on a road trip and it has never given any kind of warning.

1) We are 1500 km away from home, on an island, hours away from the nearest Jeep dealer when the air suspension goes into complete failure. We're left stranded with a small child. Seeing as so many people on here have questioned what complete failure means....it means that there is suddenly zero suspension. In all three scenarios, you'll hear a clunk, the vehicle drops, and starts hissing. The wheels are nearly touching the fender and the vehicle is undriveable. My handy boyfriend figures out to pull the fuse to stop the hissing sound even when the vehicle is turned off. We get towed 300 km to the nearest Jeep and drive 1500km home in a rental only to return a week later to pick up our vehicle. Warranty was good and covered the repairs, rooms, and rentals....but what a fiasco!

2) On a roadtrip, 200 km from home in the winter (Canadian winter) and again, complete failure. Bring it to the nearby Jeep and they flush out the ice in the hose for a couple hundred bucks. Not under warranty.

3) On a road trip again, total failure again. I bring it into Jeep and after getting to know the air suspension issues my boyfriend tells me to tell them it is a leak in the hose. I ask them not to do any work without a quote because the warranty has expired. The Jeep dealer spends FIVE HOURS diagnosing it to tell me there is a leak in the hose!! $650 for diagnoses and $850 for repairing the hose! As we speak, I have been without my vehicle for four days and heading into a long weekend. This vehicle, the air suspension, has ruined almost every vacation this year.

I love everything else about my Jeep GC, but the air suspension is awful! Not only with the problems with it, but the offroad level three is completely useless. As soon as you hit the slightest bump it makes a huge clunking noise which makes offloading in level three pretty much unbearable. Also, I'd like to be able to show off my lift kit but it sinks down when in park and looks like a little granny-mobile

Re: Quadra Lift Air Suspension Failure

I've had two "service air suspension system" warnings, both times when my black lab lays on the console and slips and hits the off road button. I have not been able to replicate it my self. Otherwise nothing. I'm bringing it in next week for the shifter recall. Going to ahve them check it out.

Yeah i know i should not let the dog rest on the console, but at least im not texting
