The rear is definitely possible. The front is impracticably not.

Re: Quadra Lift bottoms out in Off Road 2 Normal?

My limited research tells me that the Mercedes Benz ML series air suspension doesn't make the same noise. Im wondering if that is because they don't lift as high or if something else is going on?

Re: Quadra Lift bottoms out in Off Road 2 Normal?

My initial thoughts were along the lines of your first suggestion, but as Benno points out, you can get it in NRH without much trying as well. I have a suspicion that a soft limit... like a bump stop for the shock's extension stroke... might be the missing link? I don't know about other's impressions, but to me it's the sound which is most disconcerting... it doesn't really jar that badly or anything.

I'd really, and I mean really, like a bit more damping from the rear shocks, especially on rebound. I reckon this in itself would go some way towards alleviating the banging up back.

Cheers,
Steve

I agree, its the noise thats the issue.
I remember reading something about the WK2 overlander concept having suspension modifications that stopped the topping out clunk.
Only other thing I want fixed is the quadra lift dumping the air from the rear when its beached.

Is there any reason you couldnt replace the rear shocks with one of the after market sets?

Aside from the slightly unique mounts, and valving to suit bags... sure, there's absolutely nothing insurmountable involved.

Re: Quadra Lift bottoms out in Off Road 2 Normal?

Not sure that this is the forum for my question but, after reading all the threads I'm wondering if there are any after market shocks with air that will workwith the QL system? or, what happens when the shocks need replaced? you have to get Jeep to replace or can you get an after market system? thank.

As far as current information goes, you're stuck with Jeep replacement parts. There are no bolt in alternatives at this time.

My MY12 does this in ORA2... And it's a very rare moment that I have it at that height, anyway.

Re: Quadra Lift bottoms out in Off Road 2 Normal?

Yeah I thought I read that the limit was lowered so it would not do this. That's why I was surprised it Topped Out so easily with the slightest bump.

I don't usually have it OR2, but want to be sure something wasn't defective.
