Quadra Lift bottoms out in Off Road 2 Normal?

Whenever I have my Overland 2015 in OR2 it sounds like the shocks are bottoming out over the smallest bumps.

Is this broken or normal?

Normal. A number of threads discuss why.

What Bill said... normal ...and that's one reason that the speed is so restricted at that height level.

The higher you go up, the less suspension travel you have- that's the trade-off with the design and the reason why you have to drive slower as others pointed out. That said- I love it as it has proved quite useful a number of times.

Its normal but what a shame to have to hear the loud thud noise for a Trail Rated vehicle. Mine does it in OR1 also and will do it over a speed bump in normal drive height.

Don't forget some jack stands. Wouldn't be pretty if the airbag sprung a leak while you're under there.

It may also be a good idea to place it in tire/jack mode to disable auto leveling of the suspension. Disclaimer: I haven't tried this myself so I have no idea if that would do anything to alter the height in OR2.

Topping out, not bottoming out

Re: Quadra Lift bottoms out in Off Road 2 Normal?

Yep, its on the rebound, there is one speed bump in my local shopping center, hit it over a certain speed even in normal height, and it will pop as the nose lifts, and again as the rear lifts. I think its the pressure in the air suspension that is forcing the strut out when weight is unloaded.

I hope someone out there is working on some extended length shocks for the QL2. ARB have them for sprung GC's but neglected the ORA2 pack owners 😞
