Hi to all,
My 2014 Grand Cherokee has QT2. I opted for the Limited because I wanted an all wheel drive system with a transfer case. The Jeep still has open differentials, I believe, and I was wondering if using low range did anything to limit wheel spin, in addition to more pulling power. The manual says something about it locks the front and rear shafts together, if that helps. I understand that the QT2 has a brake based system also designed to control wheel slippage, but I was never a big fan of how they operate. The manual states that this function works even with ESC off, which is usually what I do in moderate to deep snow. Is that advisable? Can anyone explain exactly how the QT2 systems work together. I also would like to know what the feasibility of adding a limited slip rear differential is. I remember when you just swapped it out, but now with all the sophisticated electronics(they actually call it Electronic Limited Slip Diff),is it possible to do once the vehicle was built without it. Thanks for any info.
