Re: Quadralift Air Compressor

$1600 is a bit steep.

Compressor Assembly - COMPRESSOR, Air Suspension - 68232648AA | Mopar

I could probably find it cheaper if i looked harder...

I believe it is exactly the same for the 2014. It seems to be the same going from my 2012 to my 2015

Re: Quadralift Air Compressor

You can see it definitely pays to shop around when it comes to replacement parts. When it comes to any vehicle, I always get the mfrs part number and then do a thorough Internet search.

IIRC - The Quadralift is a Bosch system. If you could only find the Bosch part number but, then again, $880 is a really good price.

Re: Quadralift Air Compressor

Ok so I found a dealer willing to sell me the part for $880.00 and then do the labor for another few hundred which was fine, but they wanted the money for the part up front and the part was on national back order (same dealer that I ordered the vehicle from, don't even get me started). I have no problem paying up front, but not for something on national back order that no one has any idea when they can get it.

So now going back to the moparpartsoverstock.com where it is $612.48, but I can't find any repair shops that work with Nitrogen. Plenty say sure we'll install it without having any clue what it is. Does anyone know any good auto shops that do repairs on Jeeps on Long Island that will have a clue what I am talking about. I am trying to get away from the dealer network completely, buy the part myself and pay someone else to do the labor and handle the nitrogen and all that.

you could have your private shop install the part and then take it back to the dealer for the nitrogen charge. I think you might have a hard time finding a private shop with the equipment to do the nitrogen charge on a system like that. the nitrogen compressor sits right behind the felt wheel liner an is not all that had to get to. also if I remember correctly the nitrogen charge was not cheap

Re: Quadralift Air Compressor

dont quote me on this but maybe the compressor runs to an accumulator its behind the rear seats and actually works pumping co2 into a baffle/accumulator two different sealed systems? just a thought.

Re: Quadralift Air Compressor

Yea I'm bringing it in for an oil change and tire rotation and giving one more dealer a shot at it. Might just dump it getting fed up I was going to just leave it without the compressor as I've been stuck in aero mode which is fine but now I'm in off road 1 for the past 2 days. I'm not sure if I really am or not can anyone measure the stock heights between the wheels in each mode. Not fond of highway driving on slick roads up an inch higher

Re: Quadralift Air Compressor

Loved this vehicle, but I decided to cut my losses even though it cost me much more money. Smartened up this time and got the extended bumper to bumper warranty and moved on to a 2016 Ford F150 Platinum. I considered the Ram, but honestly the dodge/jeep dealers anywhere in this area suck and I have very fond memories of my Ford dealer so that kept me away from even considering the Ram. Really a shame as I loved the Jeep GJC, but just got tired of the dealers in my area nonsense every time something had to be done and the games they would play claiming things they fixed are my fault and I just don't have the time or energy to fight with corporate about the dealers. Great cars, shitty dealer network (in my area at least).
