Question about Goodyear DuraTrac

Hi guys,

I am currently looking to upgrade the tires on our GC and need some help/tips. I would like to go the slightly aggressive route and searched here and tirerack for my options. I trimmed it down to the following brand and type. My question to all the expert is would these fit my Laredo X stock 18s? I don't want any rubbing issue.

Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac 265/60R18

Clicky Clicky

I am also open to other options and ideas, please advise. Thanks in advance.

Re: Question about Goodyear DuraTrac

Isn't that the stock size? They will fit without issue.

Yes it is, I just wanted to double check.

Another question I have is, how big can I go on my stock 18s without any issues?

Re: Question about Goodyear DuraTrac

Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac On-/Off-Road Commercial Traction seems to be a truck tire, not an SUV tire. Likely to noisy and hard riding.

Don't go past 32 inches total outside diameter. Most people on the other forum report 32's work fine with no rubbing.

Re: Question about Goodyear DuraTrac

Put Duratrac into the search function and you should get plenty of threads on the Duratracs. Been plenty of chat on them, what fits, what doesn't fit, picts on Jeeps etc.

Re: Question about Goodyear DuraTrac

Duratrac 275/65r18's fit fine with Quadra-Trac II suspension. No problems in turning or driving in normal ride position or ECO mode. Very pleased with tires, they aren't as noisy as I expected, and the ride quality is very good.

I would recommend the Goodyear Duratrac tires to anyone.

Re: Question about Goodyear DuraTrac

Thanks for the replies guys and gals. Yeah I searched but couldn't find accurate details and reviews on the 18s, most info were on 20s. I'll try to dig up old threads when I have some time.

I'll keep the 32inch size in mind when searching.

I don't have QT, it's Laredo X with stock suspension. Would you say the ride is hard like someone else mentioned? I don't mind the noise as long as the ride isn't too harsh. Do you have any pictures of your rig?

Re: Question about Goodyear DuraTrac

Just FYI, Quadra-Trac isn't related to your suspension setup, as far as I know. You guys are looking for "Quadra-Lift" if you are speaking of the air suspension specifically.

Re: Question about Goodyear DuraTrac

Since this is a learning experience for me, I have real silly questions.

Can I get away with 275/65/r18?

I would like to go as big and rugged as possible without issues.

I pretty much want this look without a lift kit. Possible or not?

Re: Question about Goodyear DuraTrac

Totally possible, but it won't have that stance without the lift.

The thread right beneath yours shows a few people who are using the 275/65-18 Duratracs, with no rubbing issues. That is definitely the largest you can go with that tire and 18" wheel, without using spacers or a dedicated lift/no air suspension.

Duratracs and Mopar offroad wheels on a 2014

and so you know the setup of the Mopar off-road concept vehicle you posted, it's using:

- 255/75-17 BFG KMs = 32" tire (almost exactly the same as the 275/65-18 Duratrac, but the KMs are narrower)
- 1.25" spacers
- and a dedicated lift
