Had a slow leak and was told that I have a cracked wheel. Has anyone had to get a replacement oem wheel for their GC? Where did you get it from? Dealer is quoting $600, discount tire can get a "replica" for $300, and I found a website called moparpartsdeals.com that has a seemingly new one for $355. But have no experience with this site to know if it is legit.
Interested to hear if anyone else found a good way to get an oem replacement, and/or if anyone has done business with moparpartsdeals.com Thx!
JustForJeeps is an approved vendor for this site. They also offer a discount for us. I bought from them once and my package arrived almost before I clicked Enter. Others here are also satisfied with them. Trust me.
Which wheel, what's your time frame, does it have to be new? Where are you located? eBay, Craigslist is usually good for this, someone on here might have some.. I have a few extra 18" painted five spokes.
Thanks for the ideas guys. I'm going the repair route. There's a shop here in metro Detroit that does wheel repair and refinishing (Detroit Wheel and Tire) and so I'm going with that option. Actually had Discount Tire put on my spare and they'll send the wheel to them Monday. Then when it's back they'll swap the spare for me again. Should be $150 total. Glad my GC has a full-size spare so I can continue using my Jeep while my wheel is repaired.
