Road Magnet + Bilstein

Awesome thx !! I am still running stock rear shocks but its really weak in rear mostly on big dips in road rear tires will rub a little . Stock rear shocks are just not strong enough with the road magnet mid drop springs.. they havent blown out yet but im getting ready to put the bilsteins on rear anyway since im gonna drive it to Florida from Indiana in few weeks.

So the bilstein shocks raised the rear up a little how much we talking here ???? because i love the way it sits now but def want the better shocks on the rear !

They didn't raise the car at all I recommend doing the fronts and rears the ride is soo much better. They just have much better dampening preventing rubbing out and bottoming out.

How about these SRT sway bar end links ? Can someone let me know where i can get them and

Re: Road Magnet + Bilstein

Mine actually did raise up the rear about 1/4 on an inch. It was a shock to me too but I measured before and after and just now again and it's still 1/4 inch higher after.

Thats probably because your rear em shocks were blown out when you measured most likely and not supporting the car at all. If you measured them when you first installed the road magnets on the poem shocks It would be almost identical as the bilsteins. when my factory shocks were blown out my rear was sagging badly.

Re: Road Magnet + Bilstein

Sorry noob question here but I need to replace the stock shocks soon since my fronts are leaking...would the Bilstein 4600s work with the stock springs and my RRO lift kit and maintain my ride height, or would I be better off just buying the factory ones?

I realize I'm trying to go higher while you all are trying to get lower....

Thanks

Re: Road Magnet + Bilstein

Bilstein makes shocks for lifts already. I think they are the 5100's

Yea I just saw that...it's only 1.75"/1" though, while the RRO gives me 2.5"...my preference would be to swap out the factory ones with the 4600s-if they're identical height-wise and still be able to retain use of my RRO spacers. I also don't want to go beyond the 2.5 inch raise. Just wondering if that would work?

The proper setup for you would be 4600 fronts and 5100 rears. Because we have coilovers up front and standard shocks in the rear. Shock travel is not longer in the front because the spacer sits on top of the spring but in the rear shock travel is longer because the shock is separate. And yes you can do it and retain your lift!

Re: Road Magnet + Bilstein

I have 2015 GC Altitude do I use 4600 up front and 5100 rear or 4600 all around I'm stock height and plan on staying at stock height. Also SRT rear
