Road Magnet + Bilstein

I have been driving on the road magnet mid drops for about a year and love them but always felt the stock shocks were the downfall. I decided to upgrade the to the Bilstein 4600 series on all 4 and what a difference. No more floaty ride and the bumps are handled a lot better. Anyone thinking about upgrade should definitely do it.

I Reused stock upper mounts.

Front - bil24-225410
Rear- bil24-225427

Been driving on for a few days now and have been going back and forth with switching with my gf. She now likes driving my jeep more than her 2014 328 bmw.

No problem. The supercharger is a must for anyone who likes power in these jeeps. Mine goes back to ripp on Monday for the upgrade for some more power..

One more question for ya . I had planned on putting rear shocks on myself right away because stock rear shocks are crap with road magnet mids ! i should be able to just swap the rear shocks out without messing up the alignment in rear correct ? thx !

O ya do you have a P/N on the rear sway bar end links people are talking about ? do i need them ? thx again !

Re: Road Magnet + Bilstein

Is anyone who's dropped with road magnets and srt springs or bilsteiin a have a 4x4. Was wondering if it's worth to drop a 4x4 for handling and performance reasons.

Re: Road Magnet + Bilstein

I would always suggest alignment anytime you touch suspension. Bilstein is a gas shock and my rear raised a little bit so definitely get an alignment.

Rear part number - bil24-225427

Re: Road Magnet + Bilstein

How much did the install cost for all 4 corners? Having this done soon my road magnet mids blew out my rear shocks within 2 weeks and the ride has been extra bouncy and floaty since giving me a headache.

I already have the bilsteins on hand. Did you use any bump stop on the rear? Or removed it completely ?

Re: Road Magnet + Bilstein

I installed myself so not sure how much but would say around $400 for all four with alignment is fair. I left bump stops as is from factory. I'm not a fan of cutting or removing.

Do you bottom out on the bump stops often leaving them stock length? I have a new pair of bump stops I was planning on cutting down 1.8" but if it rides ok with them stock I might just leave them alone
