Road Magnet Service = Disappointed

I am fairly new to the forum here as well as owning the Jeep. I researched for quite some time the lowering kit that I wanted to purchase. Last week I purchased the kit from Black Ops and all seemed to go smooth. I received the kit as promised and setup install appointment at the shop that my friend works at. I dropped off my truck at around 10am and received a call from them around 12pm asking if I was sure I received the correct springs. I left work and went to shop to take a look and immediately call Chad from Black Ops who was very helpful in getting ahold of Road Magnet Customer Service. I sent over pictures of the springs and RM confirmed I received 2 sets of rear springs at approx. 1pm. The shop now had to put the car back together. and finished at around 2pm. I had to pay for the hours in labor and it was not my fault that they sent me the incorrect springs. I have asked x2 if they would reimburse me for something as I should not have to take a financial hit for there defect. My point is not to put Road Magnet down but I am very disappointed that the rep has answered all questions but conveniently ignores my request for reimbursement.

That's not right. I guess they don't have a QA dept. or someone to atleast double check orders before they ship. Its going to be hard to get money back, most companies will assume no responsibility when it comes to labor, regardless of who was wrong.

Good luck brotha! Let us know how it turns out.

Re: Road Magnet Service = Disappointed

Yeah it is tough to get reimbursement. They basically stated that they would send me a new set and just choose to ignore the request for reimbursement. At least tell me to go pound sand. Don't just ignore my request. It is very disappointing that I have to pay for their mistakes. I wish I could get away with that!

Try to see if there is a possible means of escalating the issue. The higher you go the more leeway they have in making things happen for you.

Re: Road Magnet Service = Disappointed

I had a very similar incident my jeep was sagging in the back . when i called road magnet he was convinced I installed wrong.. well maybe if the springs were labeled ,which they were not, i would have installed correctly. at any rate they were installed according to coil count. nevertheless, i am still waiting for my replacement springs months after. road magnet is absolutely horrible in terms of customer service

Re: Road Magnet Service = Disappointed

You could not be more correct. Road magnet sucks when it comes to service. I was sent the wrong springs not once but twice. They argued I paid for install 3 times and now they don't even answer. They should be ashamed to themselves. How does a company even make it that far being so close minded? I guess that's what it has come too! I do not recommend that brand just based on there quality control and customer service.
