Re: Rocky Road Outfitters WK2 Leveling Kit

I have the leveling kit and have 275/65R18 duratracs with 10 offset rims and get some rubbing in slight turns and on going over bigger humps and dips in the road even without turning. ImageUploadedByJeepGarage1415866014.719220.jpg

I was just going to comment that I had found your old pics. It looks great Phil. Just your opinion, do you think with the rims I like that have a offset I would have any rubbing? Also any opinion on how far out the tires would stick? Too far?

Re: Rocky Road Outfitters WK2 Leveling Kit

Thanks! Yes, the 275/65/18's will rub slightly at times. I don't think they stick out too far, but you can throw rocks and debris into the sides. It gets dirty a lot more easily. I love the look, though. The 70's I wouldn't even attempt. I should have gotten the full lift for the tires and rims I have. I did bend back the pinch welds. I think the rubbing is mostly the felt now.

Re: Rocky Road Outfitters WK2 Leveling Kit

There is a good chance tires will rub the pinch weld in the front on sharp turns, or at least my setup does

Re: Rocky Road Outfitters WK2 Leveling Kit

Yeah, I did have to bend back the pinch welds completely and pinned the felt back with extra rivets in the front and back sides of the front wheel wells. It helped, but did not eliminate occasional rubbing. If I completely removed the felt, the rubbing would probably stop. It's not rubbing bad enough or hasn't done it enough time for me to be able to see where exactly it's happening. There are no physical signs of it yet.

Re: Rocky Road Outfitters WK2 Leveling Kit

It looks like to me that the 275/65/18's will rub a little regardless of the offset, at least in duratracs. I'm not sure if a closer to stock 30 offset would make things worse or not, but I can't imagine that it would make it any better, either. For that tire size, in duratracs at least, it looks like a little more lift is required more than anything else. That, or some felt wheel liner trimming. I have heard of other brands that size not rubbing, like nitto, but I think their overall diameter is just a little bit less.

Re: Rocky Road Outfitters WK2 Leveling Kit

Yea agreed, 30 mm offset (1.18 inches) really won't make a ton of difference, it's going to rub the fender liner and pinch weld on sharp turns in front for the duratrac 275/65 and procomp extreme AT 265/70 for sure (but it's really no big deal IMO, both easy fixes)Those are the only two tires I've seen in action with the RRO lift. Both had 0 offset rims.

Re: Rocky Road Outfitters WK2 Leveling Kit

Hey All, hoping to get your thoughts on my recent install.

I installed the RRO leveling kit on my 2014 Grand Cherokee, Limited, 4x4, 3.6l.

Install went good. I did it myself and supplemented the directions with the MANY tips found on this forum and others. Couldn't have done it without all that good information...

Anyways, after the install the front is sitting a full inch higher than the rear. (Rear fender measures 35" from the ground, front fender measures 36" from the ground). It is higher on both the left and right side and everything seems ok when I drove it around my driveway.

I sent an email to Rocky Road inquiring if they have heard of this and I have the alignment scheduled for tomorrow.

Re: Rocky Road Outfitters WK2 Leveling Kit

Did you just do the install a day or two ago? Mine did the same thing but after a couple days it settled and is now even.
