RRO leveling kit and Rubicon wheels

Thanks to those who gave me the ideas and helpful information in this forum I finally pulled the trigger on a leveling kit and wheels for the Wife's 2011. It took me about 5 hrs to install. It was tough but nothing too bad. It was well worth it.

Before.....

Now!

Looks slick. I've been debating the same mods for my 2011. What tire/size did you go with?

Thanks. I kept them the stock size 265/70/17. I think a taller tire will fit but I like the look of a little more room in the wheel wells.

So, you did the RRO yourself? Any special tools or equipment?

The rig looks great!

Hey, Arlington Texas! My father was stationed there with the Navy for 3 of the 4 years we were in World War II. He helped run a college the Navy took over. 4th year was at sea where he saw combat. He loved the area, very sparsely populated then.

Thank you.

I did do it myself with help from a buddy. It took about 5 hrs. A second set of strong hands is definitely recommended when getting the struts out and back in.

No special tools were needed but I did find using a ratchet strap very helpful to help align the passenger strut with the LCA to get the bottom bolt back in.

I did need to pop the cv axle out from the differential on the driver side to get the strut back in but it was no biggie. I just pried it out then it pops right back in.

That's really neat.

Yeah, it definitely is not sparsely populated any more!
