Rubicon wheels on my 2012

took a trip to Colorado this last weekend and wanted to do some off-roading. We decided to get some rubicon wheels and stick them on our 2012 v8 with QL. I had read that they wouldn't fit with the hd brakes so we went to spidertrax in Loveland, CO and picked up 1.75" spacers. If anyone is in CO, I highly recommend going to spidertrax direct - we got 20% off the spacers and we got to meet the owner and get a tour of the facility. Pretty awesome. Anyway the jeep did great and I love the look with the rubicon wheels!

Re: Rubicon wheels on my 2012

Hey,

Real good looking jeep. I live in CO and will have to check out Spidertrax. I am thinking of doing this to my 2011 V6 Grand and I was wondering if you have a leveling kit in your jeep and if the tires are Goodrich Mud Terrain LT 255/75 R17 tires?

Thanks! We don't have the leveling kit - we do have the quadra lift and it is in ORII for the first two and then the last pic is when it was shut off. The tires are the stock mud terrains - so yes to the ones you listed.

Re: Rubicon wheels on my 2012

Your rig looks sharp!

Did you try it without the spacers? Someone here told me that the '12 and '13 V8's don't have HD brakes and 17" wheels would work. My neighbor was going to give me her Rubicon wheels but they were the standard 5 spoke design, not the ones like yours.

Re: Rubicon wheels on my 2012

Thanks birchyboy. I didn't try it without the spacers, but it is millimeters away from hitting the calipers with the spacers. They may fit, but it would be really close. I like the look with the spacers anyway, so I didn't bother trying.

Any chance you could repost your pics? For some reason I cannot get them to open.
