Scrap wheels?

Disclaimer!!! This is NOT a sale thread.

Ok so i have been trying to get rid of my stock 17" alum WK2 laredo wheels for almost a year now with no success. (Locally) so im going to go a different route.... How about taking them to a metal scrap yard and get my moneys worth in cast aluminum... How much do the weight? How much do u think i could get for them? Ill keep the center caps since those tend to be needed later down the road.

Any ideas or suggestions? (Have tried ebay and craigslist)

Re: Scrap wheels?

Recycled aluminum goes for around .70 cents/lb. Your wheels weigh around 20 lbs, so if you turned in all four for recycle you would get a whopping $56 or so.

How have you been advertising the wheels? I think one issue with the 17" wheels is they only fit the V6 vehicles.
