Re: Sipe My Tires?

I agree with AAA, the Latitude tire are OK in snow. I have them in the Pacific NW all winter and had no porblems, I will get the LTX next time around.

Re: Sipe My Tires?

I already swap tires on two other vehicles. Running out of room in the garage for another set. Also trying to avoid the hassle of another twice-yearly swap.

My 2007 Liberty has Michelin LTX M/S2s and they are great year-round. Quiet on the road, excellent in the snow, and more than adequate off-road. I assume the Michelin LTX A/T2s are similar, albeit a bit noisier.

My Overland was an order, not a lot purchase. I knew about the tire issue, thanks to this great forum, before my order. I addressed it with a manager at my dealerership at the time of purchase and he said, "Let's wait and see what tires actually show up. Chrysler frequently changes tires." I fault myself for not being more aggressive during the negotiations to ensure the issue would be resolved. I don't really blame my dealer, but I do blame Chrysler. Again, this is not the point of my thread, rather, will siping help the Latitude Tours without adverse affects?

I'll probably just try siping and if it doesn't work out, bite the bullet and purchase the tires that should have come with the vehicle in the first place.
