SRT rear swaybar on Quadralift wk2

Anyone installed an SRT rear swaybar on a quadralift? I ordered the swaybar and plan to try it.
my hope is that it will reduce body roll on the twisty mtn roads i frequent. And since the effective spring rate in offroad 1 and 2 in a quadralift semms really stiff anyway i hope for little to no effect offroad.

Re: SRT rear swaybar on Quadralift wk2

I ordered the front and rear srt swaybars and the front and rear srt swaybar links.
justforjeeps.com said the srt links were required nd that both front and rear srt swaybars with srt links fit on a quadralift gc. an old thread on this forum showed a guy with a 2008 gc who said he upgraded just the rear swaybar and got pretty bad understeer with the srt rear and the stock front...so he put on an srt front as well and got good results.

It will probably be at least a week before the order arrives. I will keep you posted on whether the items fit a quadralift diesel correctly, whether there is a significant reduction in body roll, and if i perceive any offroad side effects.

Re: SRT rear swaybar on Quadralift wk2

I was originally going to just install the rear bar because there were some old posts saying the front wasnt worth it. But i found one post from a guy who installed the rear first which caused a lot of understeer until he added the srt front bar as well. So instead of doing them one at a time i am going to install both together while i have access to a lift.

the only downside i can think of for offroad might be that it could make for a little less tire 'drop' articulation, since disco'ing my swaybars on my old rubicon added to that kind of articulation. But if i wanted to do serious offroading i wouldnt have sold the Rubicon, so i will gladly give up a little offroad articulation to track flatter on the 20 miles of mountain curves i go thru everytime i go anywhere.

rear srt bar arrived today....still waiting on the front bar and endlinks which should arrive Wednesday.

ok the srt front and rear sway bars and srt endlinks are installed. Everything fit fine. No problems at all. The front was easier than the back just because there was less stuff in the way afyer we removed the fiberboard cover behind the front bumper. The rear srt swaybar looked thicker than stock for sure. The front one did not look noticeably thicker bit we assume it is stiffer.

i just drove 5 miles of twisty 2 lane mountain blacktop to the cafe where i am eating breakfast now. My driving impressions are that there is an easily noticeable difference. Instead of significant body roll and then the car 'setting' in a corner with the stock bars, there is just a slight body lean instead of pronounced roll and the car feels planted as soon as you turn instead of 'setting' after the body roll like it did stock.

I didnt measure or anything. They looked pretty similar but i was advised by a tech who had done the swap before that he didnt know exactly why they were different but they were. Maybe the srt ones are slightly stronger to deal with stiffer bars and more aggressive cornering? They are definitely different part numbers.

Re: SRT rear swaybar on Quadralift wk2

Did some more aggressive cornering this morning after getting my oil level squared away. Its not a gocart but its pretty good handling for a big diesel suv with air suspension and offroad tires. It will be a while before i get to check if it had any effect on offroading.
