Re: SRT reps with Hankook tires installed

Weird that Hankook's own website uses the word "Summer" in the description of that tire.

Re: SRT reps with Hankook tires installed

I've been told to NOT put 295/45 tires on 20x9 rims, only 20x10. Any advise our counterarguments here? I'm swapping out my overland wheels/tires for a setup like this, so curious on opinions...

Love the rims! Hate the tires...wife's M45x had Hankook and they were so awful I swore I'd never own them again. But to each their own!

My tires on my '11 Summit are nearing EOL and I've been toying with the idea of rims, and I love killer brakes. I might have to follow along a little. ;-)

SRT reps with Hankook tires installed

It was the Ventus V4. Awful tire. So bad I never want to give Hankook another chance. It literally had no redeeming quality. Tons of road noise (that a luxury car couldn't tone down), terrible handling, bad traction, bad tread life...nothing good to say. Except I think they were cheap...so I guess I can say something good.

I also won't buy anything Goodyear. They are on too many factory vehicles and they all have crappy tread life, horrible handling, are expensive, terrible traction, etc.

My favorites are Pirelli, Kumho, Yokohama, and Cooper based on what I have experienced in the past. I generally prefer better all weather performance over longevity. I'd rather be able to avoid an accident in bad weather than save a few $ by buying a tire based on how long it lasts.

Re: SRT reps with Hankook tires installed

The M has Cooper Zeon RS3-A's on it now and it is night and day different from the Hankook that were on it, in a good way.

I really wish Pirelli made the Scorpion ATR in a size that fit because I had them on my WJ and loved them.

Anything is better than the factory tires though. I'm not looking forward to replacing tires, but I kind of am at the same time...

Anything to back this statement up as to why? Because I have had Zero problems and as you can see from the pics, they look and fit beautiful

The set up looks great. You mentioned no rubbing lock to lock but is that also true when under load? Say during a tight U turn?

Thank you! And yes on the QL2's lowest setting with the wheel completely turned, there is absolutely no Rubbing anywhere.
