SRT Springs same as stock

Just A FYI for you guys..
after doing some research and talking to folks..even spoke with Blkops dude who is real cool and I ordered my mid level RM springs from him today..

The SRT springs are the same as the springs in Reg Wk2 .. same part #

for anyone who was thinking on putting them in thier wk2.

I ordered a bunch of stuff today and did alot of research / calls
front and rear SRT sway bars with SRT end links
RM mid level lowering springs
and Eibach pro kit shocks front and rear....on the way

That was the case on WK1s and on the LXs (Charger, Magnum, 300) for sure but I always wondered about the WK2... It has been said in many places the SRT WK2 was the same (1" lower) but in looking at the two in pictures I never could see it.

I did have our WK2 SRT beside a 2014 Durango R/T and the Jeep WAS lower but have never had it next to a non SRT JGC to validate personally.

*** I too have a hard time believing it as that's always been part of the whole SRT treatment...

Re: SRT Springs same as stock

i'm really not believing this... but i've been wrong before. Please enlighten me with some more proof that the WK2 SRT has the same ride height as the regular WK2

Re: SRT Springs same as stock

So, this person was imagining the ~1" drop they got when they swapped out the springs to SRT ones?

My lowered GC Limited diesel 2014

(I've been skeptical for quite a while of the true difference between them as well.)

For what it's worth, from a press release on WK2Jeeps.com:
"Aggressive and functional exterior

The functional performance exterior of the 2012 Grand Cherokee SRT8 features the "planted" look of a high-performance sports car by being lowered 1 inch and adding new, SRT-exclusive, body-color wheel flares and side sill cladding.

Re: SRT Springs same as stock

I'm. Only going by the part #s I got... And if u look on the Web it's the same Springs as any regular wk2

So I'm not saying 100 percent.. But it looks that way...

I went with the RM mid level drop and Eibach shocks all around

Re: SRT Springs same as stock

I deff could be wrong... Just very confusing. When the Web lists this Springs #s for regular wk2... Hard to find correct info..

I'm. Just putting it out there so buyers can investigate on their own u know

Re: SRT Springs same as stock

here's the thing, if you lower the vehicle you will need a stiffer spring. that has to be a typo on the site, no way a spring that's 1inch shorter is the same as the non srt ones. plus if they are the same how do you explain how the srt handles so much better over the non srt?

I'm pretty sure there's more to the handling differences than just the variation in springs.

I know theres more to it then just springs. I was trying to get a point across as the springs are the biggest component of a good handling vehicles
