Srt8 wheels on overland

Just got some 20x10 srt8 wheels installed. Love the look!

But maybe I'm crazy but is it possible that the 20x10s could be causing some bump steer?

The steering wheel feels a bit jerky when going over potholes or bumps compared to overland wheels...I think...

I just don't remember having the steering wheel jerk with the old wheels.

Re: Srt8 wheels on overland

You might be "feeling" the road more because you have less sidewall on your tires?

Re: Srt8 wheels on overland

From what I have learned in only two weeks on this forum, 20 x 10's are too large for the fronts. What made you decide on this wheel size?

Saw a couple guys on the forum using these wheels with no issues

Do you have any links to threads where people say 20x10 is no bueno?

Thanks!!!

Re: Srt8 wheels on overland

SRT has 20x9 up front and 20x10 in back, stagered wheels. But on a regular GC use 20x9 all 4 corners.

Re: Srt8 wheels on overland

Correction...the WK1 SRT is staggered, but the new WK2 SRT has 20x10 all around, it is not staggered. So if you have a WK2 Overland you should be fine fitment-wise (if you used the correct size tires)...but if you have a WK1 GC you may have some issues. Also, the WK2 Overland has 20x8 all around, not 20x9. BTW...some WK2 SRT owners are running 20x11 and 22x11 all around (even with lowering springs)...just do some research, there is plenty of info on this forum. Good Luck!

Re: Srt8 wheels on overland

I stand corrected,, on the wheels width. Saw all 4 SRT4 wheels with tires, run flats only 37 miles on them, MINT COND.. on Craigs list for 3 grand.. this seller does not get back with me, oh well.

Re: Srt8 wheels on overland

Any type of lower profile tires will transmit more feel from the road.
