After having a bent rim straightened out I started noticing a slight vibration in my steering wheel around 60km/h and pretty badly around 95 km/h. (Don't remember any vibrating while driving with the wheel slightly dented, oddly enough). I had my wheel shop rebalance. Still noticed a slight vibration (however it was 80% better). Had an alignment done (toe was out on both sides). Still shaking and not driving straight feeling very bouncy going all over the place while driving at high speeds. It's been feeling tiring for me to drive lately and the ride is nowhere near as smooth as I remember when the car was new. Can anyone help me with this? Ive definitely seen other posts like this but don't know what other options I have left. Thanks in advance
Id take it to another place and have it rebalanced and check the rim for bends. If the rim is fine make sure to balance down to .1 oz , these jeeps are sensitive to a fine balance. I have tried to have rims straightened on this jeep and i ended up replacing because they could not correct well enough. The mopar tire and rim policy is only like $300 for 7 years considering these rims are $700 each i finally got smart and bought it after 2 beng rims. Good luck
Did your check your suspension? How are your tires?
My tires have a bit life left but looking to replace them as I have similar vibration and problems as you. Balanced and rebalanced them and they still have very slight vibration but probably 80-90% gone. Mine are Michelins Latitudes.
Thanks, I'll look into having them balanced to .1 oz. the thing is these are my aftermarket 22" rims, not looking to buy new wheels or tires. Also had them checked at another location while I was having the alignment done, they said all wheels seem to be in balance.
My jeeps a 2015 with 34k kms or about 21k miles. Tires are toyo proxes st2, really don't want to have to buy new tires since they are close to new and I'm worried they will form vibrations again.
Not that I knew of.. either way I'm having my wheels completely refinished in the next week or so. I took them to a very reputable wheel shop and they said they'd take care of it. Going gloss black on my niche rims!
Okay so after having all wheels refinished and 2 bends further straightened and a tire rotation I'm still having vibrations. Do I just need new tires? Really sucks because my tires haves less than 8k miles on em and I really like these toyos

If they are balanced as close to 0 as possible then yes it could be the tires and could also be the wheels are not hub centric enough.
My advice is to measure the hubs and make sure they are ~71.5mm. If they are larger you need hub centric rings to get them down to 71.5mm.
It could also be rotors out of balance (although not likely with factory rotors with shotty aftermarket ones it could happen).
I'm fairly certain it's the tires at this point. They were balanced to 0. These rims were custom for the jeep so I'm positive the hub size is 71.5. The car feels wobbly/bouncy (quadralift) with minor vibration in the seat or steering intermittently driving down the streets at low speeds (0-40mph) and then starts vibrating noticeably around 70mph.
Take your car to a shop that has a Hunter Road Force balance machine and have at least the front two wheels balanced on this machine, A road force balance simulates actual road conditions and will show if the tire and/or rim is out of spec. It will also show the heavy spots on the tire so weights can be placed at more than one location on the rim if necessary. A traditional spin balance machine does not do any of this. America's tire, at least here in Socal has the Hunter machine. Try to get a technician who is experienced with the road force machine, because, like everything else, experience is the best teacher and they will know the nuances of the machine to better fine tune the balance. Again, you must ask specifically for a Hunter Road Force balance. You can confirm it's a road force machine since there is a roller that extends down and and makes contact with the tire to simulate actual road conditions once the wheel starts spinning. Good luck.
