Re: Stock Tire on WK2 Overland with Off Road Package?

Sold my Latitudes on Ebay a week ago, bought a new set of Michelin LTX M/S 2's 265-60-18's. I'm very pleased so far, very nice grib on slippery road and I tried them out yesterday in deep snow. (LaradoX, quadra lift, Quadra Drive 2, offroad pkg 2)

mind me asking how much you were able to sell them for on ebay? I may end up doing the same and get some AT tires

Re: Stock Tire on WK2 Overland with Off Road Package?

I had Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo 2 tires put on my Grand Cherokee for its first birthday! They look like they belong on a Jeep. I did notice more road noise compared to the Michelins, but not too bad since the Grand Cherokee has good noise insulation. The ECO light still stays on cruising at 80 MPH.

I will update this post as I do rain, snow, mud, and more highway driving with the Bridgestones. The Michelins have performed well on pavement, rain, packed snow, and hard sand. But they did not fare well in deep snow. And they add nothing to the looks of the vehicle. I sold the Latitudes on craigslist for $150.

I have posted a photo of the Bridgestones at http://jeepgarage.org/picture.php?al...pictureid=1376.

Re: Stock Tire on WK2 Overland with Off Road Package?

I haven't had my WK2 in the snow too much, just a little bit last winter but it was just fine. I did have my Jeep at the beach at the OBX this year and went everywhere on the 4wd section and forgot to let any air out of the tires. I drove through some pretty deep sand and water with the tires inflated to 40 psi and never had an issue.

I do not like how the tire looks as I would like a more agressive look to the tires but I can't knock it's ability "yet". I have had this thing in the mud, light snow, sand, etc... and have yet to get stuck or even start to think about getting stuck.

Re: Stock Tire on WK2 Overland with Off Road Package?

I have just over 30k miles now on my Latitudes, and they are without a doubt the worst tires I've ever had for snow. I got my Jeep last September, and the first winter season they were just acceptable. But now with a lot more miles, they are slick as glass in most any amount of snow. It's really embarrassing. Plus, they have developed awful "wop, wop, wop" noise at most any speed, probably due to a tread starting to separate from the cords. I'd like to think I can get through the winter and hopefully at least run a few more miles on them before having to buy something else, but I don't know if I'll make it through the winters here. We've had one 5" snow and a week later a 2", so there's yet a lot to come.

I fully agree with those that believe Jeep really screwed us on this tire choice. Not at all good for any kind of snow or off-roading.
